This algorithm scales the upward satellite radiances in cloud-free conditions to aerosol optical thickness using an updated radiative transfer model of the ocean and atmosphere. The primary products are a global one degree map of Aerosol Optical Thickness based on a composite of one week's worth of data and the monthly mean product.
